What is identity? Identity is how we see ourselves, others and the world. Throughout life we will try to build up or change our identities. We will change every aspect in our lives to try and change who we are seen as, actresses spend thousands of dollars or surgeries to keep them looking young and on top. In Don Quixote he is so mesmerized by the lives of the knights that he decides to change his identity even at his old age. His attempt to change his identity and way of life is incredible admirable. He is so tired of his old life and the way he was living he is willing to give it all up for a little adventure, most people go their entire life with out ever taking risks, but Don Quixote didn’t he just waited till much later to take his. Some will say the He was insane or going though a midlife crisis, but i don’t think so. I feel that the boredom finally got Don Quixote up to do something with his life. He wanted to make a difference and make the world a better place. I would like to think I worked hard or my identity, but in all honesty I haven’t really tried I just try to live my life the way I want. I would never make a change quite as drastic as Don Quixote did.
